Landscaping Maintenance
Properly maintaining, improving, and enhancing your lawn and landscape can add value to your home and neighborhood. Whether you are looking to entertain friends and family or boost your home’s value, our professional, friendly and uniformed staff can do whatever it takes to meet and exceed your landscape maintenance needs.
Our Landscape Maintenance Teams have a vast array of knowledge when it comes to plants, zones, and horticultural practices. We offer both residential and commercial landscape maintenance services to our clients.
The services our staff specialize in include:
Aeration and Overseeding: Mechanically removing cores from the soil, aeration helps loosen soil compaction and allows air, nutrients, and new seed to reach the soil. In return, this helps promote a lush and healthy lawn.
Annual Planting: Planting combinations of bright colorful annuals mixed in with existing dark green foliage adds outstanding beauty even to the most mundane shrub arrangements. Be sure to choose colors and textures that will compliment a particular element in the landscape such as patios, porches, and entryways.
Flowerbed Maintenance: By hand pulling weeds and applying weed control treatments to your flowerbeds, our team will help minimize and control the weeds in your landscape on a biweekly or monthly basis.
Leaf Removal: Leaf debris can smother turf and wet matted leaves cut off the air supply to your turf and block the sunlight your grass needs to store energy for growth. Save your yard by keeping it clear of leaves. Leaves are removed from the turf areas and flowerbeds three times throughout the fall.
Mowing Services: Mowing actually helps make your grass grow thicker because the tip of each blade contains hormones that suppress horizontal growth. When you cut the lawn, you remove these tips allowing the grass to spread and grow thicker near the roots.
Mulching: Mulch is used to retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds, keep the soil cool, prevent frost heaving in winter, as well as boost curb appeal. Organic mulches improve the soil’s structure, drainage, and nutrient holding capacity as they decompose.
Trimming and Pruning: Trimming promotes new healthy growth of shrubs and hedges as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. To help keep the shrubs and hedges healthy, we trim them twice a year. Pruning promotes new growth by removing crossing branches and branches that grow back towards the center of the tree. Pruning during the dormant season is ideal because the wounds heal faster, keeping the plant strong. There is less risk of disease or pest infestation when pruning is completed in the dormant season.
P&M Lawn and Landscaping is dedicated to exceeding our client’s expectations, no matter the project!
